Too many tools causing a mess?

If you are like me, you have reached a point where you have a tool for just about any home repair task you can think of. The problem comes in the form of orginization and time. sometimes I may work on a project to near exhaustion and am too tired to put things away. this only takes a couple of times to create a HUGE mess. I have found it very advantagous to take steps to create a space for everything in my garage and sheds.
Of these spaces there are shelves that have either been purchased or built. I prefer to use the type that will hold several hundred pounds and have a metal frame with wooden shelves. One note however is that I have replaced the pressboard with Plywood, I find it much stronger and more resistant to moisture. Another Item that I would consider a must would be a larger roll a way tool chest. This works well for smaller hand tools, such as screw drivers, socket sets, wrenches and the like. I also like to dedicate one drawer to things like gasket sealer, and anything that may come in a tube. You may also want to dedicate some wall space for some hooks that would hold things like extention cords, rope, drop lights and such.
I have also found it very helpful to get everything put away as soon as possible if not immediatly

Motorcycles

Just like there are many different styles of Bicycles there are many different styles of Motorcycles. You have cruisers, sport bikes, Dual sport and even scooters. I personally own and ride a Cruiser style.
Each of these have different Characteristics and riding positions. The Cruiser is a more laid back ride, usually a heavier bike with a larger motor. These are great for taking longer rides. Then you have the sport bikes. These things are Quick high rev, fast acceleration not much for comfort though. The riding position is more crouched forward with most of the rider weight on your arms and hands. sport bikes are great handling much lighter than the cruisers. Dual sport bikes are more of an all around ride, with a more upright riding position, many people even take these off the mantained highways to dirt and logging roads. Next up are the scooters not much for either speed or power. However you do see these alot in the city though a couple friends of mine "vespa riders" can attest that they are not real comfy on the long haul.
No matter what you ride you should always put safety first, take and approved riders course. Make sure your machine is in good repair with all lights working and tires properly aired up. There is also lots of Gear that should be considered such as boots, gloves, helmet, sunglasses, a Good Jacket and raingear would also be advisable to have in your closet.
I think every man should own at least one bike, you may even want to build one which would mean of course more toys er. tools to buy.
No matter what you choose to ride remember to keep it safe and to show up gassed up. otherwise you get the pacifier "baby prize"

Cordless Drills

One tool that I just cant seem to be without is the cordless drill. There are so many of these on the market today it can be mind boggling which one to buy. I personally like to use the larger 18v drills. one bonus of these cordless drills is the large amount of additional tools you can use with the batteries. there are kits that come with Reciprocating saws, flashlights, hammer drills and even circular saws. With all the options available today in these cordless tools I think this is one that every man should have in the garage.

Car Lifts

for the man that enjoys working on cars or just does it to save money there is one product that is a great benefit. that is the car lift this is a great time saving device that also gets you up off the ground making changing your oil a snap, any other under car operation as well. there are many different brands of lifts available out there some can be viewed at american automotive equipment there are several different types as well, four post two post and storage lifts which I think are really cool for getting the most out of your garage space.
